How stress, fear and anxiety rob us of the ability to make good decisions

While the news media is only partly to blame, making a killing of FUDGE (fear, uncertainty, doubt, greed, and envy), they are not the sole culprits. We live in a world where fear, stress, and anxiety are normalised. Each one of us chooses, on some level, to play this game. Or at least, we pretend that we have no other choices.

But, how do we make good decisions from a state of fear, stress and anxiety? In many ways, we’re hampered by tunnel vision, unable to see options broader than the scope of escaping the immediate threats that we perceive. We move towards safety rather than seeing the broader opportunities available to us. Continue reading How stress, fear and anxiety rob us of the ability to make good decisions

Internal self-awareness: how to trust your heart, mind and gut

communication, compassion, competence, consistency, emotional intelligence when you are lead by your heart, follow your heart, gut instinct, highest expression of the heart, inner balance, inner energy, inner life coaching, inner mastery, inner peace, inner wisdom, leading from your heart, mindful, mindfulness, mindfulness of our body, power of mind, satisfice, satisficing, self aware, self-awareness, thriving from the inside out, trust, trust your gut, trusting your feelings, trusting yourself, wellbeing is an inside job, authentically you, power of authenticity, authenticity,

Self-confidence is built on self-awareness. I have discovered – many times over – that clients who develop their interceptive skills live powerfully authentic lives.  It is this internal self-awareness that allows you to consider whether you:

  • follow your heart;
  • listen to your gut; or
  • sit with your thoughts.

Prefer to watch the video, rather than read this blog post?

Understanding the relationship between our fat cells, their positive role in our bodies and health, and your habits, beliefs and thought patterns is essential for a healthy life! Our fat cells serve many purposes, not simply holding fat.

Playing small? Not any more!

Stop playing small, transformation, change, growth, personal transformation, personal development, coach, coaching, life coach, mBIT, mBraining, head, heart, gut, brains, expectations, letting go, release, playing second fiddle, performing, performance, sad, sadness, unhappy, happiness, joy

I'm done with playing small, just so that others can feel comfortable, playing small.  I’ve done “poor me”… but I am all done with “poor me”.  I’ve stopped dreaming and striving for great when someone has said: “now you’re scaring me“. But no more. No more playing small.

I stopped studying when others told me that I didn’t need any more degrees to hang on the wall. Then I realised that it wasn’t the certificates on the wall that truly fulfilled me.

I stopped building my business when others told me it was getting too big.

I stopped personal development when “they” told me I should just recognise my limitations.

No more.

I’m done with playing small, just so that others can feel comfortable.
