Evolving wisdom: how wisdom emerges

Evolving wisdom: choosing the next right step forward, mbraining, multiple brains, head, heart, gut, gut instinct, heartled decisions, decision making process, direction, choices, choice, choose, generative wisdom, perspectives, views, considerations

I recently came face to face with some shadows of my past. While I took to blogging as part of processing my feelings, I also got in touch with two other mBraining coaches (Sarah & Wendy) that I regularly do sessions with and I asked for help to process my loss of direction. I needed assistance to get in touch with my naturally evolving wisdom.

I know the importance of dealing with these emotions and issues when they arise: one of the biggest mistakes I typically make is that I want to fix it for everyone else as well. Nonetheless, the only person that I can change and work on is me. I am responsible for how I respond and what I do.

Next right step

So, I found myself in a place where I needed clarity on “what is my next right step forward?”

Uncomfortably comfortable?

How long before comfortable becomes uncomfortable, uncomfortably comfortable, resourceful, unresourceful, emotions, feelings, positive, negative, good, bad, labels, process, processing, feeling, emotion, energy in motion

Imagine yourself with this beautiful view of the ocean, and like the girl in the picture, you’ve found yourself a comfortable place to sit on the rocks to admire the view.  And so, for a moment, you sit. In silence. Enjoying the moment.

But at what moment does this comfortable spot on the rocks begin to get uncomfortable?

Are you ready to thrive beyond your comfort zone? Has your comfort zone gotten sufficiently uncomfortable? Have you been sitting there fore long enough that you need to move? Do you start to notice your legs first, or perhaps your back where you are leaning against the rocks? Maybe it’s simply the back of your heel, where your foot rubs a sharp piece of rock or roots.

When do you decide that this perfect view and the comfortable spot is now uncomfortable? It’s time to stand up and move on?

What's missing? mBraining integration, lead from the heart, create options & solutions, listen to your needs & instinct

I started off last week thinking about “what’s missing in my life?” – in the sense of what’s missing when I feel unmotivated? When I am “stuck” and failing to move forward – what have I overlooked?

Or what might be missing if I feel unable to make a “good” choice?  When I am not taking care of my well-being – why do I forget to put on my oxygen mask first?  Or when I am struggling with gratitude, what do I need to do?

How can I do a better job at following through?

Values & priorities: why identify them?

values, values elicitation, priorities, heart, connection, connected, thriving, compassion, courage, creativity, divine, alignment, connection

Yesterday I supervised a coaching session where the trainee coach was working with a “client” to identify their values. And I realised that for myself, it was really important to re-examine this area of my life, which I took time doing this afternoon!  I recognised that as life changes, so had my priorities!!

I wanted to share two things with you:

  1. The purpose of core values elicitation.  Why do coaches spend time eliciting their clients’ values?  What’s the purpose and “value” in doing this?
  2. My core values and how I define them: what do they mean to me?

The purpose of this exercise:

Releasing Storage – unburden yourself

releasing storage, lose weight, unburden yourself, release the storage

How many times have you lost weight, only to discover that you have put it all back on again?  Releasing storage from our body is not simply diet & exercise – although those are key! Exercise combats type 2 diabetes better than any medicine invented so far – but do you have what it takes to keep up with a new exercise regime and not fall back into a sedentary lifestyle?

Understanding the relationship between our fat cells, their positive role in our bodies and health, and your habits, beliefs and thought patterns is essential for a healthy life! Our fat cells serve many purposes, not simply holding fat.
